nationwide leader in alternative payment processing services, today launched the latest version of its online transaction processing system.

a nationwide leader in alternative payment processing services, today launched the latest version of its online transaction processing system. This upgrade, which includes a new merchant alert module, is the first of many to come in a suite of analytical data available to merchants.
By letting consumers charge recurring monthly fees such as Internet access to their phone bill, ILD Teleservices’ flagship Bill to Phone service enables merchants to capture more prospects with an alternative payment method (APM).Merchants who process phone-billed charges with ILD Teleservices can access a hosted billing and collections management tool (www.ildbnc.com), which combines alternative payment technology and billing analytics. This latest system enhancement — accessible from the merchant dashboard — uses historical performance data and trending to improve ILD’s merchants’ returns.
“As demand grows for alternative payment methods and as the list of phone-bill approved services multiplies, developing tools to manage data and improve results for merchants is an ILD priority,” said Dennis Stoutenburgh, ILD President and COO. “We realize that all sendback files are not the same, so these new risk segmentation capabilities provide increased visibility into critical business trends and enable quick corrective action prior to processing to limit a merchants exposure.”
By acting on this data prior to billing, merchants can quickly correct potential chargeback issues and improve the overall return on their marketing investment. The new release of ILD Teleservices billing and collections management tool also includes new service type classification enhancements for the digital industry.

Fasthosts Has Discovered That The Number Of Non-profit Organisations Registering Domains

Fasthosts Internet Ltd, a leading web hosting provider and domain name registrar, today reported a marked increase in the number of .ORG domains registered by non-profit organisations during the past year. The domain suffix has out-grown in percentage terms many other non business top-level domain suffixes, indicating an increase in the number of non-profit and charitable projects being launched in the first half of 2009. The unique growth lends weight to the theory that many such organisations have initiated or grown web-based projects in response to the global recession. The .ORG domain name is the domain of choice for organisations dedicated to serving the public interest. Data from Fasthosts, one of the UK’s largest domain name registrars, shows that .ORG registrations made by its customers grew by 27% compared to the same period in 2008. The domain has seen the highest demand over all other non-business domains. Whilst domain success can often be skewed by short-term price promotions, the growth of .ORG comprises like for like growth over the 12 month period. As many UK charities have reported falls in donation income since the economy slowed down, such growth in .ORG domain registrations may suggest that non-profit bodies have stepped up investment in the internet. Web solutions now offer such groups extremely cost effective and scalable channels for gathering support and participation for causes, and taking donations directly from a website.
Steve Holford, CMO Fasthosts Internet Ltd, said: “It is pleasing to note the growth of the .ORG community and witness the remarkable difference that the web can deliver to non-profit organisations. In challenging economic times, such groups are wise to leverage the efficiencies and visibility that online projects can offer.”
Holford added: “Just as the recession has led UK businesses to step up ecommerce efforts, the Internet is the right logical step for non-profit groups to broaden their reach and safeguard their revenues.”
iT4Communities, a Fasthosts customer, is a charity that runs a large UK-wide network of IT volunteers who support hundreds of charity IT projects a year. They have seen a steady increase in requests for volunteer help with websites for small charities year on year. It remains the largest area of request for help as charities strive for a good website that helps them reduce costs and attract more support.
Anne Stafford, Programme Manager for iT4Communities, said: “Charities are relishing the benefits of websites with a CMS, making it cost effective to update their information and easier for volunteers to help as building a good site can take much less time”.
Affordable and easy to use web solutions have played a key role in accelerating online growth for the charity, non profit and social activism sectors. Nowadays, ‘turn-key’ website solutions from providers such as Fasthosts mean that smaller groups can create a web presence themselves and communicate and collaborate online within minutes. Fasthosts is a leading provider for shared and dedicated web hosting and business-class email solutions, and is the UK market leader for reseller web hosting. About Fasthosts Fasthosts is the UK’s number one web hosting company. Based in the UK and operating 24×7 from their dedicated UK data centres, Fasthosts keeps over 1 million domains running smoothly and ensures over 6 million emails are delivered safely each day. All Fasthosts services can be self-managed through the award winning Fasthosts web-based control panel that provides customers with unparalleled online control, enabling them to manage hosted services including domain registrations, shared web hosting, business-class email, dedicated servers, software-as-a-service, internet merchant accounts and unlimited broadband. Fasthosts’ highly successful reseller channel has recently been rated Number 1 for reseller hosting by industry portal Web Host Directory.

Monitis’ on-demand cloud monitoring service is now enhanced through Amazon S3 monitoring. This new ability, Monitis S3 Monitoring, lets customers independently monitor their S3 usage and storage, and notifies customers when they reach prescribed thresholds. Monitis thus provides its customers with greater access and control over the cloud infrastructure. The Simple Storage Service, or S3, is an online storage service offered by Amazon’s Web Services division. Amazon S3 uses a simple web interface to provide unlimited data storage. This was the first web service that Amazon offered to the public, first in the United States in March 2006 and then in Europe in November 2007. Amazon has charged users monthly by the gigabyte, with additional charge for each get or put request and for bandwidth used to send and receive stored data. There are an estimated 52 billion objects stored on Amazon S3 as of March 2009. S3 also includes image and web hosting and a back-up for its storage.Monitis already provides EC2 monitoring, and now adds S3 storage service monitoring as well. This gives Monitis the ability to show its users graphical displays illustrating the number of objects in each virtual folder (known as buckets), their total size, the number of virtual folders, and the number of objects in each bucket etc. Users can set notification rules for each metric that Monitis monitors. They can choose to be notified by Twitter, instant messaging,SMS, and/or email when any threshold is reached.Monitis is an independent service that can be used by business administrators and IT managers to monitor and exercise control over their Amazon cloud usage. The Monitis cloud monitoring system allows customers this transparency, giving users management and monitoring capabilities comparable to those enjoyed with in-house systems.

Leading DDoS Solution Provider,Protect Web Properties From DDoS Attacks

The Leading DDoS Solution Provider, IntruGuard today announced there is never a better time than now to protect web properties from DDoS attacks.Sunnyvale, CA,The Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, that took popular microblogging site offline recently, have been growing rapidly with the availability of open source tools and botnets around the world. The Leading DDoS Solution Provider, IntruGuard today announced there is never a better time than now to protect web properties from DDoS attacks.IntruGuard is widely deployed by some of the world’s leading web properties to protect their web sites from DDoS and botnet attacks. The appliance from IntruGuard ensures that legitimate users can access the sites while the botnet and DDoS attacks are blocked. Leading social networking websites around the world use IntruGuard to protect themselves. Most of these properties never declare openly that they use these appliances to further protect themselves. Most webhosting centers that don’t have our appliances don’t know how to deal with these attacks”, said IntruGuard’s co-founder and CTO, Hemant Jain. “Visibility and control over what’s happening is key to DDoS mitigation. Existing techniques have failed in protecting web properties at installations such as the leading microblogging site. Our appliances provide the ability to monitor and control beyond what’s available in today’s network security infrastructure.” commented Jain. Most network security engineers think that DDoS problems have been taken care of since they first appeared in 2000 against popular auction sites and leading search engines. That’s not so. The current commentedof attacks is smarter and harder to stop using existing solutions. Most operations managers depend on their webhost to take care of such attacks and the many leading webhosts surprisingly are not geared to handle them. Our appliances have been designed recently and they can withstand the onslaught and filter out such attacks and provide a clean pipe to the subsequent infrastucture such as firewalls, webservers and application servers. IntruGuard’s appliances are easy to deploy and configure and take less than few hours to install in a busy network” added Jain.IntruGuard’s products are available through resellers and distributors in some countries and directly in countries without resellers.Website managers can contact IntruGuard for further discussions on security infrastructure.IntruGuard is a leading supplier of Network Behavior Analysis Systems for e-tailers, social networking companies, Software as a Service (SaaS) providers, online commerce companies, Internet Gaming companies, Web Hosting Service Providers, Internet Service Providers, Internet Data Centers and Enterprise Data Centers. These NBA systems provide granular real time network traffic visibility and provide automatic protection against targeted Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
